Tres interesantisimos artistas británicos: Tom Frost, Helen Musselwhite & Graham Carter (creador de Me, Marionette) protagonizan Three-D Exhibition este próximo mes de mayo en la Boxbird Gallery de Brighton. Los prolíficos artistas presentaran una novedosa colección de esculturas de papel, papercuts y boxed art, además de serigrafias en edición limitada, dibujos y productos exclusivos. Asociado con la Boxbird Gallery, el estudio de animación Ticktockrobot ha preparado unos cortometrajes animados presentando la exposición en colaboración con los artistas donde exploran como la obra pasa de de las dos dimensiones al 3D.

La exposición estará abierta al publico en general entre el 3 y el 26 de Mayo. La víspera de la apertura se celebrará una inauguración que contara con la presencia de los artistas hablando del proceso creativo y respondiendo a las dudas cuestionadas por los invitados. This spring Boxbird Gallery will be transformed into a world of 3D illustration for our Brighton Fringe Festival exhibition Three-D.
'ThreeD' will bring together three of the most exciting and prolific illustrators currently working in the UK, Tom Frost, Helen Musselwhite & Graham Carter.These much-revered artists will be bringing 2D illustration into the third dimension with a new and exclusive collection of sculptures, papercuts and boxed art. Along side these new pieces will be limited edition silkscreens, original drawings and unique products.
Working in partnership with Boxbird is the critically acclaimed Animation Studios Ticktockrobot who will be working with the three artists to create a triptych of beautifully crafted animations.
Three-D opens on Thursday 2nd May with our private view sponsored by Tuaca. The evening will begin with a quick-fire Q&A session with the three show artists run by the founders of The Enquiry Desk.
Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about how the artists have created these stunning new pieces and ask them about their work, creative processes and pretty much anything they fancy! Simon Armstrong from Ticktockrobot Animation Studios will also join us and speak about the animation process and how he turned Helen Musselwhites work into the moving image for the first time.For more information and to add your names to the guest list for the private view please email hello@boxbird.co.uk.
The private view is 6pm - 10pm. (the q&a session will begin at 6pm and lasts around 40 minutes)
The exhibition is open to the public from 3rd - 29th May, open Saturday - Wednesday 11am - 6pm.
