'As early as 1869, women have been supporters and protestors of the pin-up. Women supporters of early pin-up content considered these to be a "positive post-Victorian rejection of bodily shame and a healthy respect for female beauty.' - Joanne Meyerowitz.
The aim of this project was to follow Meyerowitz' ideal and to create a series of modern illustrations celebrating an appreciation of 1950’s styled pin up figures, bringing my collages to life with a modern twist. Each collage represents a geometric fantasy world adored by men and women.Pin-up's is a personal project that will be expanded over time.
